TLDR : Answer Summary
To open a required 400,000 THB bank account for a marriage visa in Thailand, it is essential that the account is in your sole name and not a joint account. While transferring the funds from your wife's account is permitted, the money does not need to originate from a foreign transfer. It's advisable to maintain a separate, fixed deposit account specifically for this requirement, as rules may vary by province.

some Immigrations allow both names if you deposit the double required sum, i.e. 2 x 400.000 THB

Asked and answered here many times. Use the search feature to review.

Rules can vary in each province. Some may require proof funds came from outside Thailand.

Open a separate, fixed deposit (2% interest bearing) account in your name for sure, and don’t use it for anything else.

Are you in Thailand now? If not get your Non-O marriage Visa before you travel as this will make opening a bank account much easier.
