Does anyone have any advice on the best place to travel to to get a non-immigrant B visa at the moment? Vientiane? Penang? Singapore? Cambodia? It's hard to find info as most of the consulate sites are broken or down.

Thanks ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the best locations to apply for a non-immigrant B visa, mentioning Vientiane, Penang, Singapore, and Cambodia as possible options. Comments highlight that Vientiane requires an online appointment with a 3-day processing time, while Singapore allows online document submission followed by in-person application with next-day pickup. Phnom Penh also has a similar processing time, while there is less trustable information on Penang's current situation.

I went to Vientaine for Non B application and it is required to make appointment vis their website. Monday application Submit, Wednesday pickup. Easy and convenient for me.

Vientiane requires you book an online appointment to get in the gate and apply for the visa AND they have a 3 day turn around from when you apply to when you get your passport back

No reports from Penang yet that are trustable, you could try Kota Bharu in Malaysia though

Singapore you apply online (email your documents to them) get approved then you can go there and apply for the visa and get it the next day

Phnom Penh is okay but again you're looking at a 3 day minimum turn around to get the passport back after you submit the documents and pay.

What did your employer recommend? Many times employers will (or used to) use a specific thai consulate in the area.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ for your answers. I really appreciate it. My employer mentioned Vientiane but I was really suspicious when they said that they're meant to be fairly quick as the last time I was there it was anything but. It does appear to be the way to go though, thanks for the info.

, Talk with your employer well. The required documents usually include the one addressed to the embassy/consulate by name. You cannot use that letter addressed to Vientiane for the application at Savannakhet, even in the same country, for example.
