I have the Non-B visa, I am planning on changing jobs in July. I have been told 2 options:
1, I can cancel my visa July 1st and the effective date is the 18th.
2, I can cancel on the 11th of July and its effective on the 1st of August.
My new job has told me if I want the Non-B I need to go to laos or another country and apply for it. I looked online and it appears to be a 10-15 day process with the E visa system. They no longer do in person visa's as of the 1st of this year.
Can I apply for this while in Thailand?

I am married to a Thai citizen. Could I just switch to the Non-O marriage visa without leaving the country, or would I still need to leave Thailand to apply? What does this process look like? Do I need to apply for the Non-O visa the same day as I go to cancel my non-B?

If I do need to leave Thailand to do the visa, is a land board crossing okay? About 2 years ago I tried to do a land boarder crossing into Laos near Chiang Rai and I was told I wasn't going to be allowed to leave if I don't get a reentry permit on my visa; which completed defeats the point of trying to do a visa run.

My wife is thinking of changing jobs. She has non b and I have non o visa. Her prospective employer says they will have her visa canceled and she will get a new one. What happens with my visa when hers gets canceled?
Good morning, I’m being furloughed on 24 April and on that day my work permit and Non-B extension of stay will be cancelled at the One Stop Service Center. I am not clear how long after the cancellation I will be allowed to stay legally — I’ve heard 24 hours, 7 days, and 20 days -- but won’t know for sure until I report to Immigration on the 24th for the cancellation. I have been hired by another company to begin work on 1 May, however, I will be unable to leave (or return to) the country to get a new non-B. My new company is in uncharted territory as well, and has provided me with the following documents to take to Chaeng Watthana:
1. TM86, application for change of visa though it appears from my research that this is only for Tourist to Non-B
2. TM7 for extension of stay, though it’s my understanding this would be valid only for the visa that will have been cancelled by the time the TM7 is presented.
Can anyone offer guidance as to what I need to do to successfully stay in Thailand while my new status is being sorted out? Thank you in advance.
