TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to change your Non-Immigrant visa (Non-B) to a new employer without leaving Thailand. You will need to obtain the necessary documents from both your old and new employers. While some users suggested that it might depend on the immigration officer's discretion, others have successfully transferred their visa under the new employer's name through proper communication and documentation. It is often recommended to handle the cancellation of your current visa and apply for a new one without exiting the country, but if that's not feasible, going to a nearby country to obtain a new visa might be a better option.

Yes you can. Make sure your new employer have prepared document needed for your application so they can apply you a visa right on time (immediately) after the previous employer cancel your visa.

It actually depends on the immigration officer( Not the immigration Office). If they like ya when they see you, he/she can give you the green light to proceed it here but from my experience you should have to go out of Thailand and get a New Non- B visa.

FYI:- it's better to go out and get a new Non-B if you can get in Lao or any other Thailand neighbouring countries than tryin change it here coz

1. It will buy you more times

Like you can have another extra 2 months which means after 2 months you can proceed your one year extention visa

oh I see what you're saying, you can have time to get all the documentation correct and no pressure to cancel one and switch to the other in one day with a mountain of paperwork from two companies

what i mean is you don't need to be in hurry to extend it for a yearly visa as i did it. You can still work with that 3months Non-B visa for 2 and half months afte that you can proceed it for a yearly visa. Just from my experience but you gotta make sure you all ready with the papers and bla bla

it buys no more time, you get a yearly extension of stay when you apply for the new extension after canceling the old one

, You can cancel one extension from the company you're leaving and immediately apply for another extension from the new company BUT it's gonna take you being able to get all the documentation from BOTH the company you are leaving and the new company you are going to

the reason it's so rarely done is most people quit their job on bad terms and their previous employer won't work with them to get the documentation

Yes, your Extension of Stay is given to you with the school papers. As soon as the job stops you need to cancel this Extension of Stay. With papers from your new employer you have to apply for new Non Immigrant B visa.

In my experience when I was in Thailand, yes. They called it Transfer of Visa.Your liaisson officer must contact your old employer to send a letter to your new employer that they're allowing you to use your old visa and be transferred under the name of your new school/company.

I used both.I only cancelled my visa when I moved to another school after 3 years. It was then that I went to Laos to get a tourist visa. Then I looked for a new school.I just surrendered my WP to my liaisson officer and he cancelled it for me.

you didn't have a VISA you had an extension of stay, :/ They don't SELL year long visas inside the country and they never did.

You did exactly what I told
@Tanmay *******
to do, cancel one extension of stay and immediately apply for a new one with the new employer at the immigration office

The liaisson officer from the new company did all for me.I only called my former boss and she communicated with my new employer.I resigned end of October 2009 but I was able to use my visa until end of March 2010 without leaving the country.

Do you still use the actual Visa and make border runs for new 90 days periods of stay or do you use the Extension of Stay with 90 day reports at Immigration?
