Yesterday I was at Changwattana, and I received my 1 year Non-b stamp in my passport following the 1 month application & consideration process. YAY!!!
Weird thing is that I have never done my TM30, and I was never asked about it....
The whole process of changing jobs, getting a new work permit, getting a new visa went really smoothly, I couldn't be happier.
Just wanted to share my experience, it's not all doom & gloom.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user recently received their 1 year Non-B visa in Thailand after a month-long application process, sharing their positive experience of smoothly transitioning jobs and obtaining a new work permit and visa. They noted a surprising lack of inquiry regarding the TM30 form, implying it was not required at that time. Comments on the post suggest that while the process went well, it's important to eventually address the TM30 to avoid potential issues in the future.
