Hello all, question about docs language.

my bank doesn't issue bank statements in English, they are in Slovene language

How do you translate these? Or do I just upload Slovene docs and mark the relevant areas with red squares or something ?

Same for invoices, all my invoices are in Slovene language.

Company registration, i can provide in English. Government agency does have export to PDF in English as well.

Embassy in Vienna, Austria is in charge of us Slovenes.

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about handling Slovene language documents when applying for a visa in Thailand, specifically regarding translations of bank statements and invoices. Key advice includes checking with the embassy in Vienna about their acceptance of Slovene documents, highlighting relevant sections of documents, and ensuring submissions are organized and clear.

Apply in at the Enbassy that covers Slovenia, then no translation needed.

What is name your bank?

Add a footnote for what the key meanings mean. They can easily verify the translations on chatgpt or google if they need

Anonieme deelnemer 336 Everybody CAN translate easy if they need, a mobile phone with Google translate will do that realtime, very convenient when shopping in a foreign supermarket, but the question here is if they WILL do. They might because Slovenia is in their jurisdictie area.

Did you asjk the embassy in Vienna if they accept Slovene language documents? Since Slovenia belongs to their jurisdiction, they might accept, but better check first.

Yes, really. They wanted a bank statement showing the amount of money, and also a guarantee, which I got from my dad. 🙈🙈Maybe also because I was one of the first to apply. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Are you applying as a remote worker?

Generally documents must be in English or Thai. As you note the bank statement would typically mostly be numbers, so you can highlight all the relevant transactions, your name, account number, etc. You can use something to translate and provide both the original and the translated copy. Try and make your submission as clean and organized as possible, so the embassy staff aren't going on a treasure hunt.

yes i know they have to be in English or Thai, that's why I ask. But translating exported PDFs is quite hard, you'd have to create a new document which technically isn't original anymore and foreign language documents are confusing for anyone if you don't know the language. But even highlighting isn't enough since I'd have to add some text along with it, like "this is end of month balance", "this is incoming transaction paid by client" and so on to make it clear what is what, which would just add clutter. just too many questions lol and visa application is quite expensive "just to try" , have to make it as organized as possible as you said. thanks though, my first time so i'm just being careful 😃
