What additional documents are needed for my dtv application in Thailand?

Hello, my dtv application needs further documents but I don't understand everything.

1. *"Documents without an English version is recommended to be translated at an official translation office in Vietnam. A financial statement is required, including bank transactions from the last 6 months and an account balance of at least 500,000 BHT." *I gave them my bank history for the past 3 months issued from my bank website, and over 500.000 THB and not in english. Is the problem only that they want 6 months now ?

2. *"Please provide details about your current work, including (1) your CV or portfolio, and (2) examples of your work, along with any supporting materials that demonstrate your experience and qualifications."* I am a video editor, how do I prove that ? I have a youtube playlist with all my videos but how is that a proof of anything ? Can I ask my main client a letter ? What does it have to contain ?

3. *"Please provide a business registration document showing the company name, the name of the legal representative, and a company profile that includes details about its history, vision, mission, products, and achievements."* I gave them the only document I can find on Urssaf (for french), which is my certificate of affiliation, including my full name, which is the name of my society.

4. *"Please provide the latest copy of your full passport, including all pages (even the empty ones). If you have a Temporary Resident Card (TRC), kindly submit it along with the passport. The photos must show the date and time they were taken."* What do they mean by that ? There is 30 pages in a passport. They just mean the first ones until there is no more stamps right ? How can I show the time my photo was taken ? They can just use metadata...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarity on additional document requirements for their dtv visa application in Thailand. They need to provide a financial statement with 6 months of transactions, evidence of their work as a video editor, business registration documents, and a full copy of their passport. The community offers advice on the necessity of official translations, the content of a client letter, and confirming the need for all passport pages, including those without stamps. Additionally, they discuss the challenge of proving the date and time of photos.

They want all passport pages, even those that are empty. There is no way for them to know they are empty if you dont include them. They want to verify that you are still in Vietnam.

For date and time on photos you should have a watermark feature in your phone camera's settings. You can choose options for date and time there.

Good point, but I guess it's easy to modify the date and time of the timestamp by setting one's phone to another date and time. Not a very safe way to conduct a check on the applicants' location.

1. An official translation, easy.

2. Why is that an issue? Upload videos of yours and provide links, show them scripts. Provide a CV. Portfolio could be a list of videos you have produced, for which clients, etc.

3. No, you can have something else. You are a micro-entrepreneur? Get a "Certificat d'inscription au Répertoire des Entreprises et des Établissements (SIRENE)".

4. A scan of all pages, even the blank ones.

Hey, thank you for your answer. Are you sure that a bank history is enough ? You can only see the total money I have on each account to this day, and then each transaction I had for the past 6 months. But you can't see clearly in january I had X, in february I had X, etc.

And for the SIRENE document, I couldn't find it on insee, I could only find "Avis de situation" which look relevant.

3. You asked "Can I ask my main client a letter ? What does it have to contain ?". Do it, it won't hurt. Get them to confirm that you've been working for them since xxx as a xxxx, and that you can do it remotely from Thailand.

4. Don't forget to have everything officially translated into English or Thai. Most importantly the "Avis de situation".

5. I suggest you add a tax return if you can (avis d'imposition). Maybe you can also enclose a couple of URSSAF monthly turnover declarations, although I have got no idea if they look official or not. Alternatively, you probably pay social security contributions (charges sociales) if you declare income. These should show up on your bank statements, you could highlight them and explain in a cover letter what they are for + provide URSSAF slips corresponding to these transactions.

Participant(e) anonyme Hi,

1. Not sure to understand what you mean. What's a bank history? Do you have bank statements (relevés de compte)? If you were able to download a bank statement for 6 months (assuming it looks sufficiently official), then it should mention an opening and a closing balance (solde de départ, solde final). With all the transactions listed, it is enough for anybody to calculate the balance for each month. Alternatively you could download 6 single monthly statements by modifying the opening and closing dates...

That being said, usually in France one gets real bank statements monthly, at the end of each month (before internet, customers used to get them mailed to their address). These are edited automatically by the bank, one cannot choose the opening and closing dates, and they look more official than the ones for which you can choose dates. If you can download 6 of those official monthly statements, it's probably even better.

2. I see. The "Certificat d'inscription au Répertoire des Entreprises et des Établissements (SIRENE)" is possibly only mailed (not e-mailed) once to you when you register a business. The "Avis de situation au répertoire Sirene" should be OK.

Not sure about "The photos must show the date and time they were taken" though. You won't be able to have metadata imported into the final PDF. If they had written day only, I would have suggested to buy a newspaper and make pictures of all pages on it. No idea how you could prove at what time they were taken...

Actually I understood the 1. after posting it, but how do you get your document translated ?
Alfonso *******
Anonymous participant there are official translation offices that will charge you a lot because they are recognized

Do NOT translate in other ways cause you will get rejected

You pay a lot because they legally guarantee that the translation is accurate.

Most likely the Thai embassy has a list of translators who are affiliated with them

Where can I find this list ?
Dnatjugweme ************
Participant(e) anonyme Not all embassies have such a list. They usually publish it on their website. You can go to any translation office I suppose, and ask if they provide certified translations from the source language into English or Thai.
