TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on obtaining a visa to buy a vehicle in Thailand while holding 800,000 baht in a Thai bank. They question the necessity of a rental agreement for acquiring a resident certificate, which might be needed for the vehicle purchase. Comments suggest that a resident certificate is required for the car purchase, but a car can be bought with any type of visa. Proper agents can assist in the entire process.

You can buy a car on any visa. You will need a resident certificate from immigration or your embassy, requirements vary.

you don't technically need a fixed address. You just need a resident certificate. Some immigration offices require a lease agreement, but Bangkok it's usually just 90 day report filed.

The US Embassy does not care. You can put any address you want. Some embassies require verification though.

That address will be in the book of course, but I don't think it really matters 99% of the time.

Asiacarnetwork.com will help with the entire process and if you get one of their ACN approved cars they come with a one year warranty.
