I'm preparing my documents to apply for the 1-year extension of a non-imm O visa based on marriage to a Thai. I'm confused by the last item on their list, which seems to imply that I need to bring two witnesses when I submit my application, as per the image below. This will be my first time applying for the extension.

I've never heard of this requirement, and I've just moved to a new part of Thailand and have no idea who I might ask here. Can anyone elaborate on this?

Thanks.

Hi, I'm upgrading my 90 day non o visa to the 11 month marriage one. Immigration officer is coming to my house in an hour, what happens if I can't find a witness in time (had multiple people bail on me šŸ˜…)

Update: mother-in-law's friend made it in time. Immigration officer was really chill.

Iā€™m in the process of changing my visa to a non-O based on marriage, which is a complete nightmare btw.

Imagine my surprise when the immigration officer lady offered a very valuable piece of advice I canā€™t withhold from you all. Take it or leave it.

According to her we should start making babies, so we donā€™t have to bring a witness every timeā€¦..Way easier.

Hi all...

Just wanted some advice on a personal loan situation. Has any one typed up their own loan agreement that's legally binding in both UK - Thailand? If so how many independent witnesses would be required. Obviously I want it to be legally binding in Thai law as much as the UK.

I can't give specific details and it's not possible to get a Thai lawyer to do it.

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi everyone

Just reaching out to see if anyone has had similar issue.

Went to immigration today to extend my Non-o on basis of marriage for the first time. Iā€™m on a single entry Non-O - Thai spouse, and Iā€™m hoping to extend for a year or at the least, 60 visiting extension.

We had everything they asked for but then.m, this wasnā€™t on the paper of required items but the Officer said I needed to bring a Thai witness from our condo building with their ID card and house registration to verify that we live there. Is this standard? Anything else I should know before having to go and come back many times?

Hi all

I'm an Australian citizen and arranging to register marriage with my Thai partner next month. Couple of questions:

1) I need to get my Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) translated into Thai - does anyone have any recommendations on where to do this?

2) Apart from the translated CNI (verified by the Consular Affairs in Klong Toey) and my passport, is there any other documents I need to prepare?

3) For my Partner, I understand she needs her Tabien Baan, Thai ID, and any evidence of a past marriage/name change - anything else I am missing?

4) Any recommendations on which District Office to use? I live closest to Yan Nawa, but I heard Bang Rak is good for these situations.

5) Based on a conversation I had with Bang Rak District Office, they said we need to come in to drop off the documents. Then, they will schedule a separate day for us to come in and complete the registration - anyone have experience with this, and does this process sound familiar?

Apologies if this has been asked before - if so, would greatly appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks!

When you move to a new province and you apply for marriage extension renewal are you back at ground zero in that you need to secure two witnesses to be interviewed at immigration or is that only needed for the initial extension request? I have had two extensions and just moved to a new province.
