Is a notarized income verification letter sufficient for my O-A visa application to Thailand?

Hi Everyone,

As I get closer to sending in my O-A visa application to the Los Angeles Consulate, I am feeling more dotted i and crossed t anxiety, especially around proof of adequate income.

I have an income verification letter from CalPers, which administers my pension. It clearly spells out my monthly pension benefit, which far exceeds the required 65,000 baht minimum threshold. But it won't be notarized. Instead I'll go to a local UPS Store to have it notarized. The same holds true for an account balance letter for my Schwab bank account. So, in effect, I'm swearing that these documents are true and accurate, not the institutions themselves. Is that sufficient?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks confirmation about the sufficiency of notarized financial documents for their O-A visa application, specifically an income verification letter and an account balance letter. Comments provide reassurance that notarizing these documents at a UPS should be acceptable, as long as they meet the financial requirements.

In 2017 I had all my documents notarized at a UPS office for submission to the L.A. Consulate. I understand your concern.

Yes...you will be fine. You only need to submit financial documentation showing greater than the annual 800,000 Thb and or 65,000 Thb monthly.

The two documents you are submitting is fine.

My local bank notarized my signature on each of the documents.

I'm in SF, so I'm mailing it all in. That's why I'm being extra careful with all the docs.

Los Angeles offers walk up service...submit morning first day, pick up afternoon next business day. By mail approx 10 business days return.

William Butler I also prepared a simple one page cover letter saying that all the enclosed documents submitted are true and correct. I listed them...and I had my bank notarize my signature on it.

Great. Thank you James!

that will be fine. I did it last November at Los Angeles. Accepted.

And did same for my Medical Clearance form. Doctor signed and I had my signature notarized on the form by my bank.

Thanks James, but it's the notarization process that worries me. The institutions themselves are not notarizing the documents. I'm using a third party to notarized them and he or she can only notarize that I am swearing that the documents are true and accurate. I hope that is enough.
