Just a post to put people at a bit of ease with the TM30 if you are having issues getting your landlord to get it done.

As you know the TM30 is required within 24 hours from arrival date.

I recently returned to Thailand in late June. My landlord didn't get my TM30 done until the 10th of August.

I recently went and applied for a 30 day extension at jomtien and they never said anything to me about it nor fine me for it being so late.

Of course I'm not saying to allow your landlord to be slack, but if they are it seems as long as it's done before you have to go to immigration, you should be safe from a fine.

Hello, I have some questions about address reporting. First of all I will describe my situation. I have been staying in Thailand (Bangkok) for about 13 months with a Thailand Elite Visa. I have done my 90-day reports and my extension of stay in Bangkok. I will have a new permanent address in Bangkok by the date of my next report, in fact I will be moving into a new apartment in the next few days. Now to my questions:

1. Since my permanent address is changing, I have to report this as far as I know. In the past the TM28 form was used for this, but as far as I know it is not used anymore or only in exceptional cases, because it actually had to be filed even if you left the province for only 24 hours. Most of the expat community did not even know this and the procedure was discontinued as far as I know. If I understood correctly, I have to submit a TM27 instead within some days, in addition to the TM30 that my landlord submits, is that correct?

2. How exactly do you file 90-day reports if you are not in the city where you are permanently registered at the time of the report? I would like to visit friends in Chiang Mai and would therefore not be in Bangkok at the time of my report. Can I make my report in Chiang Mai? If so, what documents do I need to submit? I assume I need the temporary address in Chiang Mai of my hotel (TM30) but what address do I put in TM47? I would want to avoid postal or online reporting if possible, because they are very prone to error or don’t work at all.

The bureaucracy is highly confusing and I hope someone can enlighten me a bit here.

Looking for advice regarding tm 30, tm 28 and tm 27. We filed a tm 28 change of address at Rayong immigration. We now need to cancel that because the landlord does not have proper documentation to rent the house and I can’t extend my visa without that documentation. Landlord did not file tm 30 or provide documents for me to do so.

Now do I cancel change of address with tm 27 at Rayong?

We are now looking for another house to rent but in meantime need to go back to CW to extend visa this month.

Hi folks. I will be moving residence soon. Still within Bangkok. I am not sure about 2 things.

1. When landlord files TM 30 and gives me a copy of the receipt- do I still have to attend Immigration with TM27 form completed and appropriate documents?

2. I currently do my 90 days report online. Do I have to attend Immigration Office for 1st 90 days report after I change address (and then do online after this)?

As part of this can I wait until the next 90 day Report is due before attending Imm Office (with TM27 if required)?

I am on Non-Imm O Retirement Extension to November 2021.

Many thanks. Richard M
