Just got my DTV approved from Thai embassy in Yangon. Here’s the process:
Got an online appointment two weeks prior. Arrived at the embassy at 9 am, 24th. Submitted all the documents. (Work contract, employment verification letter, six months of bank statement, six months’ payslips, rental contract in Thailand) .
The lady at the counter asked me to come back at 2 for an interview. The Thai staff who interviewed me was very kind. Asked usual questions about my job and why I wanted to live in Thailand. Paid 400 USD and was asked to collect the passport two days later.
The process was smooth. As long as you have your documents in place, I believe they won’t make it difficult for you.
Thanks to everyone who shared their experience here. 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully obtained a DTV from the Thai embassy in Yangon. They booked an online appointment, submitted the required documents, attended an interview, and paid the fee. The process included a work contract, bank statements, payslips, and a rental contract. Other community comments inquire about document requirements and mention current booking issues.
Hmmm. I checked the web site again but no mention of a rental contract. I could make a 90 refundable booking on booking.com. did anybody else get asked for rental contract?
I didn’t actually read any requirements about bank statements other than proving the 500k and having a work portfolio… i think ill be fine as I do have a portfolio and payments for the past month and soon to be two just wanted to see if you had some information I didnt. Thanks!
