Has anyone applied DTV using Thai Company Registration where you are a director/shareholder of that company?

I am aware that DTV is not a substitute for Non-B visa or a Work Permit.

Hi all, seems like Vientiane has opened few additional slots for visa application next week! And I have managed to secure a slot, do you think if I can apply for the DTV visa directly and anyone know how long will it take for it to be approved? I’m planing to apply with a Muay Thai class in Chiangmai.

Flew in today to chiang mai with my DTV which I got in Taipei yesterday. Here are some notes to help others who are looking to get the DTV in Taipei:

- I have a US passport

- It cost me 11,000 TWD (had to pay in TWD)

- I got the visa the same day I applied

- I was called some hours after I submitted and asked to submit an extra document

- A total of 22 non-thai showed up for visas (of all varieties). I know its 22 because the monitor that shows the queue number remained at 22 when I went to pick up at 5pm

- The staff spoke English and noted that they were interested in me passing. I say this to express that they are helpful and present

- Documents I used:

- A cover letter with bullet points of the what financial pages are being submitted

- 3 different bank statements showing current balance. They noted that they cared mostly about the the statement I had that said CURRENT BALANCE. In other words, previous months is not as interesting. But I would put it in again anyways

- A recent pay slip

- A cover letter with bullet points of the what work evidence is being submitted

- Articles of organization of my llc

- company's EIN (this is the document they requested)

- Some pages from two active contracts to prove I have work

- Visa application form (with a 2 inch passport photo glued. The form says to use 3.2cm but the online guide says to use 2 inch)

- Copy of passport biopage

- Every page I submitted was signed

I received a NON "o" visa in 90 days and plan to issue a visa for another 12 months. Is it mandatory to present health insurance for a year in order to receive the visa?

I know that the 800k for a retirement visa has to be maintained at 400k for something like nine months before increasing it to 800k two months before applying for the next extension. Is there a similar requirement for a marriage visa I.e. a minimum balance to be maintained for the nine months following an extension based on 400k?

I am asking for a Swiss friend, as he is not capable of proficient English to follow the conversation. He is in a same sex marriage, officially married in Switzerland. His partner wants to apply for the 365-days Non-Imm-O visa based on retirement (he is over 50 and fullfills the financial requirements). As soon as his partner will get the visa issued, he wants to apply for the "90-days Non-Imm-O as a dependant of a foreigner holding a longstay permit for Thailand".

So my question is:

Do Thai Embassy or/and the Thai Immigration allow the "dependant" (trailing spouse) method in a same sex marriage?

My current Covid extension expires on 29 April. I applied for it 27 January, it was under consideration until 15 March so I only got it around a week ago. I'm almost ready to extend my one year O-A visa but another interim Covid extension would really help buy a little time to get a couple more months of deposits into my account...

My question is: Can I go to Immigration on or before 30 March and get another Covid extension "stacked" on top of the one I already have which expires on 29 April? I thought I had read that the current Covid program is in effect through the end of May.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice.
