Hi all, seems like Vientiane has opened few additional slots for visa application next week! And I have managed to secure a slot, do you think if I can apply for the DTV visa directly and anyone know how long will it take for it to be approved? I’m planing to apply with a Muay Thai class in Chiangmai.

IF you take that Friday appointment you will get your passport back 3 working days later counting the day you apply, SO apply Friday morning, get the passport back the following Tuesday Afternoon 🙂

this is a very good insight! Thanks! And for the form, is there any form that we need to fill before we go? Or we just bring the required documents if enough?

Incredible so much great information you can get by visiting the website of the Thai Embassy you want to apply at.

Yes you can and should apply directly. Consulate website states timeline of processing. For me it was drop off application and info Monday morning, and pickup Wednesday afternoon.

nice I’m planning to go next week! :) did you need to get your bank statement notarized? I’m planning to apply via Muay Thai activity
Matt ********
No didn’t ask for it to be notarized. Provided 6 months of statements including transactions. If you don’t have a statement for October I would suggest printing out a screenshot of current balance to date and bring with you just in case.
