Hi, so I finally received a reply from London Embassy regarding DTV application questions and I’m just wondering if anyone can advise whether or not they had to provide actual flights tickets or similar confirmation as per the below?
“Flight details (e-ticket issued directly by the airline), showing your name, departure date, and full itinerary from the UK/Ireland to Thailand, including onward travel (if any)”
I never understood this to be honest because if I don’t get DTV I’ll just travel as a tourist and book a return flight for 90 days, but if I do get DTV I’ll book a return flight for 180 days. Surely this condition would be more relevant if the visa was actually approved first because changing the return flight costs money and I’d rather know the visa application status before booking!
I come to Thailand each year. Next year I want to spend 3 months there in the Australian winter. This year I investigated extending my stay but changed my mind when the cost of changing the date of my return ticket was $AUD680, much more than half the total cost. Next visit I intend to stay 2 months visa free then extend a month. What are the best options for an outward/return ticket? It's obviously financially punitive to change the date and I assume that if I am asked to show an outward flight, a return ticket dated 3 months from arrival would not be accepted. There is always the option to buy a cheap throwaway ticket (if such now exists) to KL or a refundable one. Any thoughts on the best option?
For Americans that applied for the DTV in the USA, did you have to show a plane ticket and intended place to stay ? The LA consulate lists neither as a requirement and it says you can use the visa whenever you want.
But did they make you show a plane ticket and place to stay in Thailand or no ?
How months of bank statements did they want ?
Because when you apply it says don’t apply more than 3 months before intend stay.
Hello! Advice please.... heading over from uk, would like to visit different countries in SE Asia but cannot pin down a set itinerary in advance and would like to be able to stay a little longer in places that I like or move on if I want to. Is it possible to buy a one way ticket into Thailand with a flight out of Thailand within 60 days and nothing further. I would then purchase return ticket or onward ticket as and when I decide? Any advice greatly appreciated. 👍😊
Are tickets from Thailand to France cheaper in Thailand?
If I take one way ticket to Bkk and rebook one way ticket to Hanoi or luang prabang, no concern about boarding paris and immigration to Bkk?
Thank you for seeing two answers 🙂

Bonjour
I know I’ve seen a link in the group before to buy super cheap departure flights to have proof of exit when you don’t know your plans after leaving, but I can’t remember the website. Anyone have sites for this?
H guys, im planing on visiting my family in july. I was thinking of getting a one way ticket staying for a couple of weeks and then return back to uk. Will i be able to do this as this my cheapest option. Cheers
