hello

Are tickets from Thailand to France cheaper in Thailand?

If I take one way ticket to Bkk and rebook one way ticket to Hanoi or luang prabang, no concern about boarding paris and immigration to Bkk?

Thank you for seeing two answers 🙂

Bonjour

TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost of one-way tickets from Thailand to France is generally similar whether purchased in Thailand or France. While a round-trip ticket may offer better pricing, one-way tickets can be affordable too. When traveling on a one-way ticket from Paris to Bangkok, travelers should be prepared to provide proof of onward travel within 60 days if requested by the airline. The same rule applies when re-entering Thailand from neighboring countries.

Depends on time of year. A return flight in late December, originating in Bangkok is about 66% of thr price of a December flight originating in london. I assume because late December Bangkok London flights will be near empty, but London Bangkok flights very full.

Tickets from Bangkok to Europe is not cheaper in Thailand. Best price is normally a tour/return ticket, but one way tickets are also affordable.

If you travel on a one way ticket from Paris to Bangkok on a 60 days visa exemption you’ll formally need to show proof of an onward ticket within 60 days if your airline ask for it. Same if you re-enter Thailand from Vietnam on another visa exemption.

No, you don’t need any return ticket. If you enter Thailand on a 60 days visa exemption without any visa you’ll formally need a ticket OUT of Thailand within maximum 60 days if your airline ask for it.

You can call your airline and ask for their policy regarding this. I know Lufthansa, KLM/Air France, Emirates can be strict.

Correct, you’ll just need a cheap ticket out when you enter without a visa. This is rarely checked in the immigration but you might risk your airline will ask for it as the can be fined and responsible for your return if formal requirements aren’t fulfilled.
