I recently received a 3 month stamp for a marriage visa. Next month I can apply for the one year extension. Does anyone know if I will get the year stamp the same day I apply or if there is more to the process after that and I’ll have to wait? This is assuming all my paperwork is correct and financial requirements are in order. Thank you!
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a one-year extension on a marriage visa in Thailand, you will need to visit the local immigration office at least twice more. On applying, if your documentation is in order, you will receive an 'under consideration' stamp valid for approximately 3 weeks to 1 month. After that period, you will return to obtain the full year extension stamp. Additionally, remember to bring your spouse and check the specific requirements at your local immigration office, as they may vary.
