A polite appeal for the Mods to stop turning off comments and deleting posts.
Not all of us are on the page 24/7 and it's frustrating to see the advice cut short.
Today I wanted an update on the story of the man who had his Ed visa rejected because of 2 prior tourist visas... Alas, it has vanished.

TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion centers around frustrations regarding the moderation of a Facebook group focused on visa advice for expats in Thailand. Users express concerns about posts being deleted or comments being turned off too quickly, particularly concerning education (ED) and tourist (TR) visas. Some members clarify that not all deletions are due to moderators and that original posters can delete their own threads. Others highlight the importance of accurate information and the challenges of managing a large group to prevent misinformation from spreading. The conversation emphasizes the need for more openness to discussing visa topics without premature moderation.
we used to let posts run, but what would inevitably happen is after the person got the correct answer some well meaning wing-nut would post wrong information and start the whole thread over again.
It got to the point where I just decided to close topics as soon as someone gets the right answer.
, or myself to re-open a thread IF you think you can provide additional information.
Sorry, it's a group with a lot of people, it's a group that lives or dies on accurate information and it's something the moderation team is putting time in to do for free.

The issue I see is that the mods don't seem to like topics about ED visas and TR visas, for whatever reason. But a lot of people use this group solely for info on those visas. Commenting on posts tends to get turned off too quickly. Sometimes people would like to hear updates and/or have something valuable to add. My advice is to be more accepting of all visa related posts and to not turn off commenting so soon after a post.

the mods just donβt dance around the fact that people are using visas not for their intended purpose. Truth hurts

I didn't say they delete information about those visas. But now you mention it, one of my comments on a TR visa post was deleted a while back.

I think the real thing is many many people milk a few years of stay here on tourist visas and or visa exempt entries THEN decide to switch to an ED visa (not necessarily because they want to study OR learn anything but just to further their stay). Those are the people likely to be denied an ED visa at the nearby consulates.

What do you mean by "they don't like those topics"? I don't believe they ever delete information about ED and TR (?) visas
Amornrat is not an Agent..He is a well experienced Admin of this site.....and if one chats with him before going to apply for a visa they would not be denied as often as we are seeing now. What is wrong with that? Am I wrong in trying to help someone ??
Thank you. The man who was rejected for 2 prior tourist visas?

A couple of things:
1. Not just mods, but also the OP can delete the posts.
2. Sometimes posts just aren't visa related (but the example you gave was visa related).
The mods here are very good about letting ED visa related posts remaining. Now, if it's the OP who deletes the posts... well, there's nothing the mods can do about that (I don't think...).
