When should I pay my overstay fine at the airport, before or after checking in?

Passed my 2 days visa. I plan on paying the airport ticket upon departure.

Is this done before or after baggage is checked?

Thank you

J'ai dépassé mon visa de 2 jours. Je compte payer l' amende à l'aéroport au moment du départ.

Ça se fait avant ou après l'enregistrement des bagages ?

Merci

TLDR : Answer Summary
The fine for overstaying a visa in Thailand is paid at the immigration counters after checking in your baggage. Travelers confirmed that as long as you get to the airport without being stopped, you can pay the fine there.

As long as you get to the airport and not stopped en-route you pay the overstay fine at the immigration counters - after check in.

Rock up at immigration counter. They will see your 2 days over and take you aside to pay the fine

depends how busy they are. I seen some and didn't seem to take very long. Maybe 15 minutes. Make sure you have Thai cash to pay

Would only be a few minutes to do. You pay the fine, they stamp your passport with the overstay stamp and off you go. The only issue would be if there was a queue in front of you doing the same.

Perhaps allow for an extra 20 minutes just in case but I doubt you’d need anything like that.
