Hi all,

I have a work permit valid until March 12 which I won’t renew and a Non-B visa valid until April 14.

My question is: when do I need to leave the country?

I would like to stay until April.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Non-B visa valid until April 14 and a work permit valid until March 12. The main question is when they need to leave Thailand. Comments clarify that the type of Non-B visa determines the stay duration after canceling the work permit. If it's the initial Non-B visa, they can stay until the visa expires. If it's an extension of stay, they may need to visit immigration to cancel the extension and could receive a 7-day allowance to leave the country.

Just a heads-up: I was pulled aside and asked to show the 3 proofs (money, accommodation, departure flight) when I flew back into Thailand on a visa exempt after being on a non-B for 15 years (Don Mueang) 🤗

The real question IS

Is this "Non-B visa" you're referring to the initial 90 day Non-B visa OR is it an "extension of stay"? (look at the stamp)

I ask because that's what controls how long you can stay.

If you're on the initial 90 day Non-B visa, even if you stop work, cancel the work permit etc, you can stay the full 90 days

Whereas if you're on an "extension of stay" once you cancel the work permit you go to the immigration office that issued the extension with termination documents from your employer and cancel the extension.

You could get a 7 day stamp for 1900baht that gives you a week to get outta thailand, but that's about all you can get when you cancel an extension.

You'd have to bounce out/back to get a free 60 day entry stamp if you wanted to stay longer..
