Hello!

I have the work permit based on non B visa. I quit the job after 2 months , before applying for extension.

Maybe you can help me with an advice regarding the cancelation process.

My employer told me that he will cancel the work permit, I don't need to do anything and I can stay until the non B visa expires.

It is that true?

Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the cancellation process of their work permit after quitting a job while holding a non-B visa. They mention that their employer will handle the cancellation, leading to questions about their ability to remain in Thailand until the visa expires. Community responses confirm that since the user did not apply for an extension, they can legally stay until their entry stamp expires, although they are advised to consider changing their visa status as they currently lack employment.

Non B is for owning a business or work for a business. At the moment you dont have both in my opion. Your only option is to change your visa but correct me if I am wrong

The OP is on the inititial Non-B Visa so is entitled to stay until the current entry stamp date then will have to leave to re-enter Visa Exempt or on a different Visa.

Because you never applied for an extension, there's nothing for you to do. You can also stay until the end of your entry stamp.

Thank you for your quick response! It was needed because he ask for my work permit tomorrow morning in order to complete the procedure. So, it is OK if I handle it to him?
