Hello everyone!

I just wanted to ask if you guys know what happens to your NON B Visa when your work permit expires?

I'm leaving Thailand 6 days after my work permit's expiration but my NON B Visa expires next year 2023.

Do I have to go to the immigration immediately to cancel my NOn b visa? If yes, do I get tourist visa automatically so that I can legally stay for 6 days before my flight?

Thank you in advanced for any helpful information ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
When your NON B Visa expires alongside your work permit, you must address the situation with immigration. If you're leaving Thailand within a week after your work permit's expiration, you should go to the immigration office to cancel your NON B Visa, accompanied by your work permit cancellation paperwork. If you plan to leave permanently, simply exiting the country is also an option. Notably, you can apply for a 7-day extension for 1900 baht to legally stay until your departure.

IF you're NEVER EVER gonna come back here to work or get a long term stay here again, just leave.

Otherwise go to the immigration office with the cancellation of work permit and the termination paperwork, cancel your extension (I think you don't have ANY Non-B visa and instead have an extension from the immigration office) and then you can BUY a 7 day extension denied stamp for 1900baht that gives you a week to get out of the country.
