If a work permit and non-b visa ends in March, what is the process for cancelling the visa? Also, how quickly does one have to leave the country after the visa/permit is cancelled? -- since I have heard rules changed on this recently. Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When a non-B visa and work permit are set to expire in March, the holder must follow formal cancellation procedures. To cancel the visa, one typically needs to inform the Ministry of Labour or the relevant immigration office, complete the necessary forms, and return the visa and work permit documents. It is advisable to inquire directly at these offices for any specific requirements. Furthermore, upon cancellation, expats should prepare to depart the country promptly, generally within 48 hours to a few days, depending on the specific circumstances and recent changes in immigration rules.
