Hi everyone! I'm a little confused as to what visa, if any I can apply for to stay up to 90 days.
I've already been to Thailand this year twice however this time I am coming from Turkey (holiday) and I'd like to stay in Thailand for longer. It seems I need to apply before I enter but I'm not in my home country (Australia).
Sorry if this sounds silly, but the more I read the more confused I seem to have become lol. Is it better just to get an exemption stamp and extend? Or is that only a max of 2 months? Thanks so much in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen can enter Thailand without a visa for 45 days under visa-exempt entry. They can extend this by 30 days at an immigration office, totaling 75 days. Another option is to apply for a tourist visa prior to entering, which allows for a 60-day stay that can also be extended for an additional 30 days. There's also the possibility of obtaining a visa at the Thai embassy in Ankara, but it only offers a 15-day extension.

thanks John. Not long enough though and Ankara is the other side to where I am, doesn't look like there's another embassy here 🙈 looks like I'll just get the exemption stamp and extend
thanks Stuart. I'm trying to avoid doing a border run - it can become more costly and id just prefer the comfort of knowing i am ok to stay for 3 months.
Do you know how I'd buy a tourist visa if I'm not in Australia? Many thanks
you're a legend for looking thank you, they're both the other side of Turkey unfortunately. Looks the best will be the first option you mentioned which will be amazing for now 😊🙏
If you’re an Australian citizen you can enter with no visa, called a visa exempt entry and you’d get 45 days. You can either do a border bounce - cross over to another country by land or fly out and immediately fly back in for another 45 days or you can extend your entry by 30 days at an immigration office which would take you to 75 days.
