I am wanting to stay in thailand longer than the 30 days,is there a visa I can apply for that allows me to stay longer without going to the embassy near the expiry of the 30 days. I am from Australia carrying a NZ passport. I leave for Thailand in 30days time. Thanks in advance for any info
TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen with a New Zealand passport looking to stay in Thailand longer than 30 days can consider applying for a tourist visa. A single-entry tourist visa allows for a 60-day stay, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand. Alternatively, one could obtain a multiple-entry tourist visa before traveling. It's also advised to contact your nearest Thai embassy for specific guidance.
