TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian citizen with a New Zealand passport looking to stay in Thailand longer than 30 days can consider applying for a tourist visa. A single-entry tourist visa allows for a 60-day stay, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand. Alternatively, one could obtain a multiple-entry tourist visa before traveling. It's also advised to contact your nearest Thai embassy for specific guidance.

I have a NZ passport and came here from OZ, i went to the Thai embassy in Perth and got a 60 day tourist visa which was extended here in Thailand for another 30 day's. You can apply online but i preferred to go in person, it took a week and about $100 aud.

Best call your nearest Thai embassy.

I think you have to be an Australian citizen to apply in Australia. A more knowledgeable person will confirm.
