Hi People.. bit confused about the new 60 days visa. Being Australian we hold a passport to enter Thailand

For 30 days and can get 30 day extension. Do I  have to apply for the 60 days visa separately so I can get a 60 day extension . Or has the 

Passport been extended to 60 days and can I get an extension and how extension...
