The 60 day visa is 30 days no visa + 60 days visa = 90 days.

Booked in advance of travel.

Yet you can enter with no visa 45 days + 30 days visa extention in Thailand = 75 days ??

Also can you fly to Malaysia and then pick up your visa options above, flying then to Thailand.

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the durations and options available for staying in Thailand with various visa types. A 60-day visa can be extended for an additional 30 days, totaling 90 days. Alternatively, travelers can enter visa-exempt for 45 days, which can also be extended by 30 days, resulting in a 75-day stay. The conversation also touches on the possibility of applying for a visa online, extensions, and options like 'border bounces' to re-enter Thailand and reset the visa duration.

The 60 day visa is a 60 day visa. What your talking about is extending it for 30 days. Yes you extend a 60 day visa for 30 days giving you 90 days. Yes you extend a visa exempt stamp from 45 days to 75 days. Choose what works best for you. Do you want to stay in Thailand a total of 90 days or 75 days?

Can you also apply for a visa online for 60 days then apply for extension 30 days, then fly out for one week and do the same process again, many thanks in advance.

please ask your question in a new post.

And what the OP has replied, is simple and makes sense to me...75 days in Thailand...a week in Malaysia followed by 75 more days in Thailand.

What are you trying to do?

Where are you now?

What is your passport nation?

IF you are eligible to enter Thailand Visa EXEMPT...you will be stamped in for 45 days plus one 30 day extension of stay at Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Then you could do a BORDER BOUNCE and reenter Thailand by land border crossing... or fly in...and get another 45 days stamp plus one 30 day extension of stay.

How long are you really planning on staying in Thailand?

Do you know if it's possible getting a education visa once this runs out?

Hi James, Iam in the UK,

i was looking at my options. I now intend to travel soon 45 days no visa, 30 days visa and a trip to Malaysia returning for another 45 days. Making 120 days before March 31st. If I am correct!

Basically a little holiday in Malaysia for a week rather than a direct border bounce.

I do get alittle confused. For instance do I book my return for inside 120 days.

Thanks James and all replying.

Thanks James, that is the one that confuses me the most. The return flight home and when to book it when you intend to do border bounce. Ahhh ha ha ha

P.S. That's my return flight on my ticket Heathrow to Bangkok return?

@Joe *******
ask your airline if that is sufficient...as they may ask to see a ticket departing Thailand within the first 45 days of arrival.

as you will be entering Thailand Visa EXEMPT and get the 45 days stamp plus one 30 day extension of stay = 75 days stay.

Going to Malaysia on holiday then return to Thailand again will get you 45 days stamp (if arrive on or before March 31...30 days stamp from April 1) is okay ๐Ÿ‘.

Your airline may ask to see a ticket departing Thailand within the 45 days of your first arrival ...

ASK them.
