Hello, I really don't understand what happened, I got my visa "approved" few days ago, with a mail, my downloadable e-visa, and today I received a fake looking mail saying my application was rejected" with just link to click. I thought it was a scam, checked on the real website and the status of my visa is "reject visa application", what happened ? I fulfilled every criteria, told my family I was approved etc.
PS: I edited the post with screenshots. Don't mind the "fake looking e-mail" this is just my feelings because I'm really confused right now. The actual status on the official website is REJECTED

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reports confusion after receiving an email stating their Thai visa application was approved, followed by another email claiming it was rejected. The official website confirms the rejection status, despite the user meeting all the criteria. Comments suggest confirming the legitimacy of both emails, checking for potential errors, and contacting the embassy for clarification.
Did you log in to the official website to check the status when you received the approval email? If you are rejected after 3 days, it means that some details of the materials were not noticed before. If all the materials are true, I suggest you call the embassy to inquire about the specific reasons. Anyway, you won't be able to get your money back. After clarifying, apply again.
I will contact the embassy and than take this with the MFA for review. The moment i got my approved i save it on PDF right away. Next time do the same and you will claim will have more support . If they had approved it first the correct status should be cancelled so it looks like its an error from their side. Hope this helps š
If everything is legit, it looks like you were originally accepted (either truly or by mistake) and then something happened for them to retract that approval and change it to rejected. As others have said, I donāt think I have seen this happen before. Could they have come to a second decision that something you submitted was false paperwork? Is this soft power or remote work? If Soft power, could they have learned something about the course that you plan to take, which resulted in them changing their minds? Did you use an agency? Only way you will get real answers (if they even respond), is from the embassy.
Might be a stupid question, but did you applied twice, by any chance? Maybe one application was approved and the other rejected. Do they have the same application number?
Personally I'd consider communicating directly with the MFA with screenshots etc after this apparent boondoggle. How are you supposed to know the real application status when it changes? How did it take 3 days for a possible approval error to be spotted? What's even more disturbing is no apology or information supplied as to why it changed. I think the foreign affairs ministry office would be very interested in this (I've) never before seen chain of events.
Anonymous participant scan it and see. I scanned mine and it's just a string of text and numbers. I'd be curious to present the approved printout to an IO upon entry just to see what happens, possibly they might stamp you in. You could plead ignorance as to the second status. I mean who would really need to go back to the e-visa website after getting the approval on site and by email. Not sure what you mean about the QR code, if rejected there is no visa and QR code issued.
Sorry to hear that - it is a first I have seen ie approved then rejected.. You can only really contact the embassy you applied to. Hope it all works out for you.
