TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the possibility of a visa application in Thailand being rejected after it is initially marked as pending approval. Comments indicate that the pending status can be misleading, as it may lead to requests for additional documents or outright rejection. There are also concerns about the financial implications of rejection and whether it is possible to resubmit without a fee.

Does rejected mean you lose 340usd or can you resubmit for free

My first application was walking to the embassy in Penang, everything was quite new for me and even for the officer, they rejected my application and They did not take any money, free, unfortunately the online mode is not refundable 😧

you loose the money

The pending approval is misleading. The first initial document check is a quick check over. It then goes to pending approval. From that point it can go into request more documents, approved or rejected

sounds like it leans a bit more towards likely approval since it did pass a document check even if it was a quick one, but not guaranteed

They already asked me for more documents on Tuesday and the status changed to "documents checked" (or similar) , and on Wednesday it changed to "pending approval", so... I don't know what to think 🤔

Anonymer Teilnehmer pretty normal actually… and from „pending approval“ to approval or deny or interview or more documents anything can happen and it can take weeks. sit back and relax… the first document check was good so now its time to wait

Anonymous participant just have to wait. It's different people throughout the process that do checks, approval is by someone with more authority

Anonymous participant it took 4 business days after pending approval to receive my dtv. Unfortunately it included the weekend so a total of 6 days! 😬 very stressful. This was in Nov, HCMC

Anonymous participant Well, then yes there are many cases of rejection for various reasons.
