What should I do if my employer is unaware of the remote work certificate needed for my DTV application in Thailand?

Hey everyone,

This question is especially for my fellow Germans who have applied for the DTV. I submitted my application today, and the embassy has requested a "Certificate of employment from the employer that allows you to work remotely (online)" (in German: "Arbeitsbescheinigung des Arbeitgebers, der es Ihnen ermöglicht, Remote (Online) zu arbeiten").

My employer does allow me to work remotely, but I've never received an official certificate confirming it. When I called my boss (we’re a small company), he didn’t even know such a document was required. For those who have been through this: what did you do? Should my employer simply write a letter stating that I (Kevin Wojtas) am allowed to work remotely and then sign it?

If anyone has dealt with a similar situation, I’d appreciate hearing what worked for you.

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
User Kevin Wojtas seeks advice on obtaining a certificate from his employer to confirm his ability to work remotely for his DTV visa application to Thailand. He faces challenges since his small company does not typically issue such certificates. Commenters suggest various solutions, such as having his employer write a signed letter of permission, using official letterhead, and even creating the document himself for the employer's signature. Some advise that this document may not be necessary for certain visa types, like the LTR, and recommend consulting the consulate for a template.

You can write the letter, then ask your boss to sign it.

but they requested it :) I got already a letter from my boss which confirms the position of my job, that I can work remotely/online including Thailand and signed by him. That should be enough
