Should I attach proof of my remote work approval when applying for a visa to work in Thailand for two weeks?

Hi all,

My contract with IT company state that job location is Berlin. But internal company policy allows to work 2 weeks from abroad. I have an email from my boss and message in the HR ticketing system to prove that I was granted with 2 weeks working from Thailand.

Shall I attach these into the application or wait if they will ask. Also is two weeks remote working per year acceptable ?

Cheers,

P.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is contemplating whether to attach documents proving their employer's approval for two weeks of remote work from Thailand in their visa application. Responses indicate that requesting a DTV for such a limited amount of time may not be necessary or appropriate, with many suggesting an exemption visa instead. Additionally, there are concerns about the likelihood of visa rejection due to the brief remote work period.

If you’re in doubt, probably the Embassy will be in doubt too.

Is this a trick question?
Toni *******
Finnish embassy would reject and tell you you can do it without visa, or get a TR.
Wesley ********
You don’t need a DTV for 2 weeks .
Tore *********
That will very likely get you rejected for DTV. In NL they requires “unlimited/all year remote work abroad” statement.
John **********
Why on earth do you want a DTV to spend 2 weeks per annum inside Thailand? Not that you would get one anyway with this limitation
Roger ***********
Just go for the exempt visa, why do you want DTV ?
Elías ********
If it says explicitly 2 weeks, I fear the Embassy might question whether you need a DTV, especially if you're from a country whose people can enter on visa exempt for up to

days.

@Elías *******
exactly. I would guess it would be refused
