Hoping I can get some advice/help, my flight from US to Bangkok just got cancelled, trying to rebook now but I’m worried about my COE, if I get a flight later in the same day will I still need to redo it? I’m worried if I’ll be able to get the COE redone in 12-24 hours

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice after their flight from the US to Bangkok was cancelled, expressing concern about whether they need to redo their Certificate of Entry (COE) if they rebook a flight on the same day. Several comments suggest that embassies are usually quick to update COEs for cancellations, and there's often a disclaimer allowing rebooked flights. The discussion reveals issues with the airline's communication and notes frustrations in contacting the embassy for clarification.

I think Kathy made a post about three weeks ago what to do exactly in this situation.

We all want to know what airline cancelled your flight?

Thai Airways, they canceled my flight and failed to communicate or coordinate a follow up flight afterwards, will avoid them in the future

There should be a disclaimer at the bottom of the CoE that says a rebooked flight due to airline cancellation within a certain time period is acceptable.

But I would also try to get a currected CoE as well to have all your bases covered.

Happened to me as well from Canada. COE was approved next day! All depends on your embassy.

do you know if it is needed if the flight is delayed by less than 24 hours?

@Bla***
As long as the flight numbers are still the same you should be fine.

From where, what airline?

The embassy is pretty quick about updating COEs for changes like that, even on a Sunday.

The DC Embassy is closed until Tuesday 🤪

We are anxiously waiting on our COE..

what number have you called? My COE wasn’t accepted and I haven’t been able to reach the embassy

@Bla***
You have to email them through the email send with your COE. They won't answer the phones.
