TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discusses the uncertainty surrounding the launch of the Thailand Pass registration website scheduled for November 1. Users suggest applying for the Certificate of Entry (COE) due to potential delays and problems with the new online system. Experiences are shared about the COE application process and its importance for travelers coming from the US, especially given the changes and unpredictability in travel regulations.
Apply for COE. I arrive 5th Nov. Already got mine. Will be accepted and my quarantine already reduced to 1 night, by my AQ hotel. Refund promised in writing
Leonardo, we are arriving on the 1st November in Phuket We opted to use the existing application, it took several days to get the COE which is a multiple step process and has intermediary approvals.
It's a personal decision, but my prior experience would be to err on the conservative side. Also travelling from US using the LA consulate.
Keep an eye on local embassy website to see if they say anything about it. I don't think anyone would be particular surprised if the app isn't available for 1 November.
I don't also expect them to shut down the COE application websites before they take up the TP site. It'll save us still working on it I'm going to take 3 months before it's finished. Meanwhile you have to wait...
