Hey guys, i want to ask about the TM30! I'm here on a DTV visa and I moved into my new apartment a week ago! I completely forgot about the whole thing! I remember seeing videos online talking about it and mixed info! Could you please explain to me what i should do, and what are my next steps! I read that the landlorn should file it within 24 hours of me moving in and give me a receipt to show to immigration if asked! But i didn't receive anything! Please explain to.me the process! Thank you soo muchπŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 is a reporting requirement for foreigners in Thailand, mandating landlords to notify immigration within 24 hours of a tenant moving in. As a DTV visa holder who recently moved, you need to confirm with your landlord whether they've filed the TM30 report and can provide you with a needed receipt. Mixed responses exist regarding the importance of that receipt during future immigration interactions, but obtaining confirmation from your landlord is crucial. If the report is late, it's still advisable to follow through.

mixed reports and mixed answers.

It all depends on you.

IF you like to follow the law, you ask your landlord to make the report and ask the notification that it is done.

If you do not like to follow the law, ignore the law and just do what ever you think is the best option.

If you want a Thai driving license, you need if you are longer than 90 days inside Thailand, you need an registered address to get the Certificate of Residence.

Some people only think about 90 days reports, but there is more in life.

Ask your landlord if he/her has filed and if you can get copy

I dont see where you need the receipt... last time i did 90day report i had it, but i had to do all the same stuff like 4years for now anyway, it didnt change anything... i thought i could skip the residency certificate with the receipt but no... still had to have my lease and everything with me like before without the receipt
