TM30
I live in Bangkok and travel every month for work. I always return back to my rented apartment and I am starting to feel like I am inconveniencing my landlord to do the tm30 so often. I've offered to do it myself at the beginning, but they said no (maybe they dont want to give me their login). As I am not staying in Thailand long enough to do a 90 day report or visa extension (so no need to go to immigration), are there any consequences to not do the tm30 everytime I come back from my travels? Thank you for any input
TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, the TM30 form must be filed by landlords whenever a foreign tenant moves in or out of a residence, including after travels. While the procedure can be cumbersome, especially for frequent travelers, it is technically the landlord's responsibility to file it. Failing to do so could lead to complications for the tenant if they need to visit immigration. Some users suggest that if you don't require a 90-day report, you may not need to worry about it as the system tracks immigration more than individual activities, but it's ultimately safer to ensure that TM30 is filed to avoid potential fines during your next interaction with immigration.
