Do I need to register my TM30 online, or can my landlord do it for me?

Just did a visa exempt extension at Laksi IT Square. I didn't have a tm30 but managed to get a copy of my girlfriend's apartment contract and a copy of his Thai ID card. The guy next to me didn't have a TM30 and he had no issues, I appeared to be quizzed my some top official. Anyway apparently I have to get my gfs landlord to file the tm30 online. My question is with the website TM30.io do I register here with the landlords details or do they have to do it? Thanks for any advice ๐Ÿ‘

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully obtained a visa exempt extension without a TM30 and is seeking clarification on whether they should register the TM30 online themselves or if their landlord must handle it. Responses indicate that while the TM30 is generally the landlord's responsibility to file online, the user received their extension without issues. It is suggested not to worry about the TM30 if planning to leave Thailand soon, as it can be filed by the landlord easily when needed.

It's actually super easy for the landlord to do it. I was worried asking my landlord as she's not the most helpful but her assistant did it in minutes and sent me the screenshot

This is not the "legal" answer but if you succeeded in getting your extension and you're not going go to immigration again before leaving Thailand or doing a border bounce or visa run, don't worry about TM30 now. You won't need it again if you're not using immigration again, and you'll have to file a new one if you leave Thailand and return, so just worry about it then.

But surely I'll just show them the tm30 receipt the next time I go, I'll be staying in the same place after all

No, a new one has to be filed when you leave the country and return.

most offices require you to file a new one if you leave the country and return. You're supposed to do it every time you spend a night anywhere and then again when you return. Some offices aren't that strict but for the most part they all require it if you leave the country.

As a rule the land lord makes the log in and registers people, although your g/f MIGHT be able to do it.

you are lucky that you got your 30 day extension without a TM30.. It's hit or miss on if they ask or not.

I was there a few weeks back and watched the first desk, where they check your paperwork and it seemed they were asking people who had a previous entry history to thailand (especially if you got an extension from an office other than bangkok) for the TM30 proof, but new REAL tourists they didn't seem to bother

here's the TM30 website from the immigration main page

My gf isn't Thai so probably best I get the landlord to do it with the link you provided. Am I right in thinking that the landlord gets a receipt and sends me a copy?

sorry, edited out the 'thai' in that comment. I concur ๐Ÿ™‚ she is better off asking the land lord to do it then (y)
