TLDR : Answer Summary
A tourist visa for Thailand typically allows for a 60-day stay upon entry, with the possibility of extending for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office. Therefore, the maximum duration for a single-entry tourist visa is 90 days. However, there are other visa types, such as the METV, which can allow for longer stays.

A single-entry tourist visa is for 60 days, but can be extended for a further 30 days at a cost of 1900 baht. A multi-entry visa is valid for 6 months, but every 60-day entry can be extended for 30 days for 1900 baht. If you time your re-entry correctly, you can stay for nearly 9 months.

Depends on your passport country holder. Usually, you will be granted only 60 days and you have to apply for an extension which will grant for 30 days; 90 days in total. But if you want 90 days single visa. Must be other visa type such as Non- immigrant visa. E.g. education visa with single entry which will allow you to stay for 90 days.

If I come as tourist to come 60 days and I know I will extend for another 30 do I have to have a return flight booked or can I do it before the 90 days
You donât apply for a tourist visa. You will get 60 days on arrival and can extend by another 30 days at immigration. You may be thinking of the NON O visa which is for 90 days
but the retirement visa for over 50âs, do you actually have to be retired? Iâm thinking of going for that visa next year but Iâm still working in Australia, I work go 2 weeks in Australia then get 2 weeks off and was hoping to come to Thailand for my 2 weeks off.
The problem I had initially was that their website doesnât accept pdf files so i had to convert everything into jpeg files and took 16 days to be accepted and visa in email
apply for a tourist visa, which will give you 60 days and you can get extend that for 30 more days. But you must apply in your home country and use the E Visa website for Thailand.
I mightâve missed something in his post but every country doesnât get 60 days visa exempt. I donât know how you could give that advice without knowing what country he is from. Just saying ďżź
a tourist visa is valid for 90 days for you to use it to enter the country. So plenty time to book flights and accomodation before you land. Once you enter you get 60 day stay.
