TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster applied for a visa they believed to be a 1-year visa, but community members clarified that it is actually a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) valid for 6 months. Upon entering Thailand, they will receive a 60-day entry stamp, which can be extended by an additional 30 days at an immigration office. To maximize their stay, they can re-enter the country every 60 days through a "border bounce," allowing them a potential total stay of around 8 to 9 months within the visa's validity period.

It's a METV (multiple entry tourist visa) "print" a hard copy, when you arrive in Thailand you will get stamped in for 60 days, and can extend it at your local immigration office "once" for 30 days, then you need to leave, just get a bus to the nearest land border, and bounce out and back to Thailand, and repeat the process when needed, you can do that for 6 months between

/25, remember to do a border bounce just before the end of march, and you can get between 8 and 9 months out of this visa (if you need the extra time) with this visa I did land border bounces, and never got asked to show a ticket leaving Thailand, it is much easier to do an in the country non O visa, and then a 12 month extension based on retirement, but it's ฿800k in the bank for retirement, and ฿400k for marriage.

Just got the same. Only 60 days on arrival, can go immigration and extend another 30 days then if u wish, I just pop to Cambodia or Vietnam every 60 days for a long weekend. You can get 8 months out of this visa if you leave the country and return by 29th March

two choices, apply for the e - visa online for Cambodia, or pay at the airport when you get there and get your 30 day tourist visa on arrival. VN you don't need a visa if from certain countries in the West and automatically 45 days on arrival for UK passport. US Citizens must get a VISA for tourism or business in advance.

IATA supplies the airline with entry rules, which are displayed on their screens. If the check-in agent wrongly asks you for onward/return ticket proof when you have a visa, ask them to consult their supervisor, and the situation will be quickly resolved.

Finally someone agrees started driving me crazy everyone saying you need an onward ticket to make sure. Just buy 15$ ticket and throw it away. Is this a scam by these ticket people. No onward required if you have a visa 🍻

This is as Brandon states only a six months multiple entries tourist visa which gives you 60 days upon each entry within six months, -NOT a one year Non O-A visa.

Why didn't you apply for the Non-O marriage visa, what made you choose this tourist visa?

As others said: yes.

But I would go for retirement extension. Waaaayyy less paperwork and the immigration officers prefer it too because it’s a lot less work for them.

Edit:

Plus you wouldn’t have to change anything, should you get divorced.

If you don’t have a bank account in Thailand you’ll might need to get an agent to help you. You’ll need 15-21 days left on your current stamp to apply for a Non O and you’ll need the required 400K baht in your bank account at date when you apply. You’ll also need to provide documentation for your marriage. For the one year extension of stay you’ll need to have the 400K baht in your bank two months prior to the application. This is as an example the requirements for a Non O based on marriage at the immigration in Chiang mai just so you have a clue, but I advise you to get handed over the list of requirements from your state immigration before you apply.

Yes, you can apply for a 90 days Non O visa based on marriage at the immigration in Thailand first and one year extension of stay after 90 days.

(suggest you remove your email from the image)

This is a multiple entry tourist visa. Every time you enter Thailand until 29 March 2025 you will receive a 60 day tourist entry stamp. Each entry can also be extended by 30 days, giving 90 days total.
