TLDR : Answer Summary
A tourist visa for 60 days can be extended once for an additional 30 days. After this extension, if you wish to stay longer, you must leave Thailand and re-enter to receive a new 30-day entry stamp, which can also be extended by 30 days at an immigration office.
I believe that the OP has the correct answer for his question.
And he is only entitled to ONE 30 DAY EXTENSION OF STAY...AS HE ENTERED Thailand with a Thai tourist visa.

Nope...you get Only One 30 day extension of stay. With either a Thai tourist visa or entered Thailand Visa EXEMPT ENTRY.
If you want to Stay LONGER..
You will need to LEAVE THAILAND by doing a simple LAND BORDER BOUNCE or By Air ✈️ and re-enter. Getting a New 30 day stamp which can be extended ADDED 30 days extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office.
