Can I extend my stay in Thailand beyond the 30 days if I have a tourist visa valid for 60 days?

Hey group, I have a quick question regarding tourist visa obtained before travel from the embassy - if our initial plan is to stay there 30 days and we apply with documents for that period for what our visa gets approved, are we allowed to change our plans on the way and stay for another 2-3 weeks as tourist visa is valid for 60 days? Or would it somewhere be mentioned that we are allowed 30 days only? Thanks in the advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers entering Thailand with a single-entry tourist visa will receive a stamp allowing them to stay for 60 days, irrespective of their initial plan to stay only 30 days. Moreover, it's possible to extend the stay for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office, making a change of plans feasible.

Thank you everyone for quick response!

You'll be stamped in for 60 days when you enter the country with a single entry tourist visa regardless of how long you plan to stay.

When you enter with tourist visa you are permitted to stay for that 60days plus if you want you can extend for another 30. So a change of plans on your part wouldn't be a problem in that timeframe.

A tourist visa is valid to enter Thailand for 90 days from issue. Once you enter on that visa you will be stamped in for 60 days. You could extend that once at a local immigration office for a further 30 days.

Doesn’t matter how long you intended to stay initially. You can change your mind and stay as long as the stamp allows you.
