ORIGINAL POSTER
Hi everyone. Last October I opened a bank account with Bangkok bank.

Today I got this sms.

Transfer/payment from your account X0149 of Bt 750.00 via AUTO system

Before I try contacting the bank anyone know what this 750 baht charge is for?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 750 baht charge reported by a user from Bangkok Bank is likely related to annual fees associated with their bank account or debit/ATM card. Community comments suggest this charge could be for an annual account maintenance fee or a yearly debit card fee, which typically falls within this price range. It's recommended that the user contact Bangkok Bank directly to clarify the nature of the charge. Variations in fees have also been mentioned, depending on the type of account or additional services selected.

1st May

Transfer/payment from your account X0149 of Bt 750.00 via AUTO system

2nd May

Withdrawal/transfer/payment from your account X0149 of Bt 750.00 via BRANCH;

depending on Province...can't call.

Not one bank or branch answer phone.

You have to go to bank.

Have been with bkb over 20 years, in last 4 years, closed half branches. All your old numbers are discontinued.

why were you calling a 66 prefix from Chiangmai to bank. Yes bank answers international calls. But nor from local numbers.

Have called 6 or 8 local numbers ( that used to work..now don't. Have record of 30 odd calls, with " no longer in service " as am making issue of it with Bangkok main office

The insurance is paid when the account is opened. There are no more charges or fees. At the end of one year, the policy dies unless you renew it. No action required if you don't want it any longer after one year...just let it expire.

well, MAYBE not . . . . if he opened the account in October and they charge him now, 6 months later, it could be anything like a half-year fee or it could even be a full year fee. Although it would be a very steep price for only half a year. I get charged 500.- THB for my Debit card per year
