Are you serious! Go to the Bangkok Bank and they will tell you what documentation you require!

It is not as easy as you think. Better use an agent. In Pattaya the agency of @Stefan *******
costs 5000.- THB, he will open a bank account at the Bangkok Bank for you within 2 days

You also get from the bank at the same visit a ATM card and a Bangkok Bank account bookThey (Tik Tok agency) even paid 500 baht into my account when it was opened so I give it back to the girls in the office as a tip for the excellent service from the staff 👍

Easy to open a bank account at Bangkok Bank with Tik Tok agency in Jomtien I did it on Friday last week
Requirement:
Minimum 60 day tourist visa
Thai Telephone ( Thai SIM card) usually purchased at the Airport on arrival
Your Home Country driver license
2 photos
5,000 baht
Done and dusted in less than 15 minutes and Tik Tok agency will do all the photo coping for you
Don’t believe the armchair scaremongers 👍

New bank reporting rules introduced in April this year has been a very big clamp. Over the years I've had about six different accounts, never been a problem. A couple of months ago I wanted to move my branch to another branch (both within Bangkok), but caused too many issues so I just left it as it was. Certainly not as easy as it used to be

Usually around 5000 baht. But some agencies have stopped offering bank account only services and will only offer to open a bank account if you also use them for your visa or extension. Then it can be anywhere from 16-30k
