TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion reveals that it is common practice for Bangkok Bank to charge fees for debit cards, including replacement fees and annual charges. Various users have shared their experiences, noting fees can range from 100 to 400 baht for replacements depending on circumstances. The limits on these bank accident/medical insurance are so low it's meaningless. KBank will give you 5,000B max per accident and if you are hospitalised they will pay 300B per day, up to 30 days. It's nothing.

I wanted both a savings account and current account but they said only savings, for now. When does that change?

Wow! That’s madness. I’ll never want a credit card but just something to separate my monthly daily spend and bills, then savings. Looks like it’ll have to be with another back for savings. Illogical 🤪

ME: This just happened like 10 minutes ago. Why don’t you just open the ATM and retrieve it?
