TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the challenges and fear of fines related to travel to Thailand after April 1, specifically a 5000 GBP fine. Users share their personal reasons for travel, such as having family in Thailand, discussing the need for medical treatments, and expressing frustrations with the UK travel regulations. Idk from which country u from but most are still allowed even for tourism purposes.

It is a bit complicated and expensive getting in as you must quarantine in gov approved hotels (around 1000$ usd)

Only some african countries and uk might be harder to get allowed in because of "variants".

anyone has info if uk is in high risk country ?? for the booking quarantine period at hotel pls if anyone has this info
Jonathan ***********
Idk, but you should contact the embassy of the country you are currently in, they will know the answers.

I believe receiving medical treatment (as long as it isn't covid related) is a valid reason to be granted access.

The Thai embassy will know

China are pushing their agenda that only a Chinese produced vaccines are to be used for entry into their country and without doubt they will be soon asking other countries to join them in this venture - you have been warned Thailand - be careful of free donations from China as there are always strings attached to their gifts - nothing is for free from the Chinese schemes 🍉🍉🍉

It’s the same as it’s always been in lockdown now but made a law

You can use renting a property or leasing or owning can get you back

@Barry *******
it's been Law since January lockdown The only difference is now they're about to introduce this ridiculous fine as part of new legislation more imo to frighten people

@Jeff ********
yes exactly

No it don’t as you don’t leave air port as no different passing any air port only time it applies is when walk on uk soil and boarder security and costume hop this helps passing and transmitting in air port dose not mean staying in it’s destination only passing hop this helps hence no visa needs to be filled and applied and that only applies to the country you plane to walk on the soil and have holiday and spend time as long in air port and passing by no don’t need it hop this helps
Travis *******
does this appy for people transiting through the UK?

The problem with this legislation is it's totally subjective and open to interpretation So many grey areas if you have a valid legal reason and either an email or letter of invitation who's to say whether its genuine or fake and then worst scenario you get landed with a huge fine refuse to pay and end up in court Any solicitor worth their salt would have it dismissed The fine is simply a scaremongering tactic to deter people from flying to Europe One more thing if this declaration form were to be worth the paper its written on it would be mandatory to complete it electronically as with the Passenger locator form Absolute shambles of a Government

That’s the problem in uk I plan to travel to myanmare end of may and find out today can’t fly due to restrictions and a massive fine when come home it’s shit I get it if holiday fair shout but what if we have family in doing need to be there in there country to sort room out and food and list goes on that’s what is pissing me off as I call this essential travel in my eyes

Screw Boris and his cronies. The UK is fast turning into a totalitarian police state. Get out while you still can.

back pain treatment you think will be accepted on visa exemption??
Briton *********
@Adam *****
From my perspective yes, but rules and regs may differ. You may need proof of appointment. Might be worth finding a clinic that does free consults and get a letter
Will ************
Already got a legal reason. Have a child in Thailand. Just waiting for my second Covid jab then I'm off for a at least 6 months.
Will ************
Yes, I would think there are going to be a lot of dentist appointments in Pattaya being made 😂
