What are the best land borders for a visa run in Thailand, specifically to Malaysia, Laos, or Myanmar?

Please share recent experience with "border bounce"

Friend of mine needs to do one. She's got one 30 day stamp which has already been extended. I want to know which is the best land border to send her to (any Malaysia/Loas crossings).

UPDATE: Also considering Myanmar.

FYI she'll be going to penang for a proper visa next month but she doesn't have all the required papers yet.
