TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired if they need to notify the immigration office for a short overseas trip from April 11th to April 16th. Community responses clarified that if the user leaves the country before April 16th, no notification is necessary. They should count their 90-day reporting periods upon returning to Thailand. Discussions touched on related fines for late 90-day reports and differentiated between various reporting requirements.

I thought the fine for this was ThB 2,000. Has it increased or have Immigration simply been nice to people in the past?

Thanks. I completely forgot a few years ago and wandered into Immigration several weeks overdue and just paid ThB 2,000, so it seems nothing has changed.

The 'standard' fine for failing to do a 90 day report on time is 2000baht, BUT if you are arrested for something else and they find out you are not current on your 90 day reporting they CAN charge you 5000baht and 200 baht a day until you are current

we were not talking about that, it was the irregularity of having a report date on a 90 day non 0 based on retirement,

The fine is actually not exceeding 5000 bhat

, notice the second paragraph in that paper that tells you when your 90 day report is due the first time.

That's why I thought it was strange that Nonthaburi started counting down the 90 days as soon as they issued you the Non-O visa. :/

That notice is for your FIRST 90 day report and if you leave the country BEFORE the 16th of April you don't need to do anything

When you come back it is your responsibility to count 90 days and do your next report
