Hi friends !

We are a family that travels from Thailand to Vietnam to do the visa

Do we have to show 500k per head in the bank checking account or is it enough to have it at savings plan?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the financial requirements for obtaining a visa from Thailand to Vietnam. Participants discuss whether the 500,000 THB requirement can be met through various types of bank accounts, highlighting that savings plans are acceptable and that a total of 500k for the family can be sufficient. Some comment that the funds must be easily accessible, and real-life experiences are shared regarding visa applications.

Hi Zohar, my husband applied first (you can't apply before he receives his own DTV) e-visa via Ho Chi Minh. Regarding 500K, I submitted the same bank account statement that he provided before, with a little bit more than 500K, maybe about 800K + sponsorship letter signed by him. The sponsorship letter just described that he needs me near him to care about the kids...So, they accepted this.

Any type of account, as long as the money is immediately accessable.

Just 500k for the whole family in any type of account will be fine.
