Does anyone holding a DTV has been asked by immigration when landing at Suvarnabhumi to show the amount of 20k baths in cash for entering (wether in $ or €) ??

I have around 200 € but i’m wondering since i read people got refused for not having them and Chat Gpt tells me not to sorry so i double checking here ! 😆😆 thanks everyone !
Answer summary
Many expats have mixed experiences regarding the requirement to show 20,000 THB in cash (approximately $600 or €550) upon entering Thailand with a Digital Visa (DTV). Some travelers report being questioned at immigration about the cash requirement, while others have successfully entered without it, relying instead on their financial documents. It's advisable to carry the specified amount or proof of funds to avoid complications.

Remember trying to complete my first ever TDAC.

It wouldn't let me add my address , tried multiple times. Shut it down, went back out and started again only this time I left my address out. Nice green tick of approval without it.

The following time same thing happened at a bridge in E-sarn. Passed my phone and passport to a young lady in a booth on arrival back in Thailand. She said it wouldn't accept my address again so she bypassed it again.

Waste of time the whole process.

Seems totally pointless.How is this going to reduce the queues..Is it just for TDAC?...

this is very welcome. Singapore has an extremely user friendly app. You put in all your information is stored so every time you enter you have click about 4 fields in less than one minute

In Malaysia many countries can now use eGates to enter, saving lots of time. Admittedly more complex for Thailand but imagine how it might cut the queues.

So is this instead of having to do the TDAC 3 days prior to entry into Thailand

This is not instead of TDAC. This is doing the TDAC in an app instead of the website.

Yay, another avenue for Thai data breaches!!

Is the TDAC really so much information that people need an app to save a couple of fields for next time?

Apparently this new app doesn't actually save your personal information. Maybe they'll improve it in the future.

I was just reporting what I read from someone else. They said they head downloaded and filled out out some stuff and most of it was gone when they went back

@Brandon ***********
yes it does that’s the whole point “However, frequent visitors complained they had to re-enter all 20 fields for every trip.

With THIM, travellers complete their full profile only once. On future visits, they need to update just a few details, such as the flight number and return date.

Just like Singapore. I complained about this to a government forum

@Brandon ***********
I think it does. I just entered a trip on one phone. When I logged in on another phone all the data I had entered was there, so the system must have stored it somewhere.

True

For Cambodia Digital Arrival you also need an App - and other than the arrival , it has no other purpose
