Good Afternoon, Its my first time doing a visa extension here in Bangkok and I just wanted to clarify some information. Thanks in advance.

1. My girlfriend and I arrived on a 60 Day tourist exemption and we are looking to get an additional 30 Day Extension. Can we get this process completed at (IT Square Lak Si?)

2. When we apply for the 30 Day Visa Extension. Does the extension start the day we applied, or at the end of our 60 Day exemption?

3. Our host said they filed our TM30 online however, they where not able to pull the information for me. Does the immigration office have a way to pull up TM30 Information that has been filed online?

That's about it. I've found a lot of contradicting information online so figured I could just ask this group. Thanks Again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarity on the process of extending a 60-day tourist exemption visa by 30 days in Bangkok. They inquire whether the extension can be processed at IT Square Lak Si, when the extension becomes effective, and the status of their TM30 filing. Comments from the community suggest there can be inconsistencies with immigration offices, the TM30 is necessary but can be filed on the day of extension application, and that the effective date of the extension is added to the end of the current visa stamp.

Depends on the immigration office and by all accounts there are differing reports from Laksi. You may need a printed copy you may not.

Your host probably did file a TM30 but if they did it on your arrival then they won’t be able to retrieve it as the system only allows a search from 7 days ago.

It will take them probably less than 3 minutes to file another one using today’s date and then they can retrieve that and get the pdf print from it.

Immigration won’t care that the TM30 is from today just that you have a filed one.

Im using the term today but that can be tomorrow or the day you actually apply for the extension. It doesn’t matter.

If an immigration officer were to question why it’s a recent date rather than when you arrived you can say I stayed at a friends house last night so my host filed a new one for me today.

It’s added to the end of your stamp and I would try again to get the TM30
