Hi, I‘m Canadian and applied in Canada for an extra 30 days on my visit to Thailand. Sorry, I’m not sure of the proper wording. This was approved, so I have 60 days, and am now in Thailand. I am going to apply for a 30 day visa extension (giving me 90 days) and have a few questions.
Can I do this online? If not, which office do I have to go to (in Bangkok)?
I read on other posts in this group that going early won‘t shorten my time, but how early can I go? I’m currently only about a week into my 60 days.
Besides my passport and the 1900 fee, when I go for the extension, do I need anything else, such as a photo? I assume any forms required will be provided at the immigration office.
Thank You.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian expat in Thailand seeks information on applying for a 30-day visa extension after being initially granted 60 days. The inquiry specifically asks about the online application process, necessary documentation, the appropriate immigration office in Bangkok, and the timing for applying for the extension. Key responses clarify that the application must be made in person at the Chaengwattana Immigration Office, not before 45 days remain on the visa, and that a TM30 address registration is required alongside the application fee.
